The fact that classes are starting up again does not need to mean that your bodybuilding program needs to suffer. While time to train may be less than during the Summer months and cafeteria food may not be optimal, there are many adjustments that can be done to your bodybuilding program in order to keep the gains coming without affecting your studies. As a matter of fact, I always found that keeping with my bodybuilding workouts and my diet throughout the school year helped me to be a better student.

After Lee Labrada’s awesome nutrition interview, I received some questions regarding the effectiveness of bodybuilding supplements.
Unfortunately, while the magazine advertisements are full of products that promise to provide tons of miraculous results, there are only a few supplements which provide benefits that while not miraculous, will certainly make a difference in your physique and your performance at the gym provided they are used in conjunction with the right bodybuilding program.

In my experience, the number one reason why most bodybuilders fail to achieve their bodybuilding goals is lack of nutrition knowledge. Whether gaining new muscle weight or losing fat, having the right bodybuilding nutrition plan is key to achieving the results you are looking for. Unfortunately, most bodybuilders mistakenly think that to achieve any of these goals, supplements are what they should place their focus on, and as a result, tons of money gets wasted on trying different products every month.
One of the problems regarding the subject of bodybuilding nutrition is all of the myths that surround it. For example, to this day, a myth that will just not go away is that in order to gain muscle weight a bodybuilder must eat anything in sight. So I figured that in order to start destroying all of these myths I better get the help of someone who has spent twice the amount of years I have spent practicing bodybuilding and who has a track record of success due to his superior knowledge on the subject. The person I chose for the job is none other than former Mr. Universe, Top Olympia Contender, and Bodybuilding Hall of Famer Lee Labrada.
My friend and fellow nutritionist Clayton South took the time to do an incredible nutrition interview with Lee that covers many of the bodybuilding nutrition myths and also provides concrete solutions on how to create diets that focus on mass gains and diets that focus on fat loss. When people hear the word bodybuilding, immediately they think of huge muscles and ultra low levels of body fat. However, to me, bodybuilding is an activity that uses weight training, cardiovascular exercise and nutrition to accomplish specific fitness goals. How far you take your physique development or whether you ever get to compete or not are entirely up to you.
